Roohaven Wildlife Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation that is run by a local Muswellbrook couple (Brad and Julie Smith) who have been rescuing injured native wildlife for as long as they can remember.

Not only do they rescue injured native wildlife, but they also rehabilitate and care for them until they are recovered and can be released back into their natural environments.

Roohaven currently has several kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, birds, and a possum in their care, some of which require 3 to 4 feeds of milk a day. The team from Malabar recently went to visit Roohaven and helped to feed the joeys.

As part of the Malabar Community Sponsorship Program, Roohaven Wildlife Rescue has received $2000 to assist with the costs of caring for the injured native wildlife.
