Maxwell Underground Mine

Maxwell Underground Mine is an underground operation that produces high quality metallurgical coal with at least 75% capable of being used to make steel with the balance suitable for use in new-generation High Efficiency, Low Emissions (HELE) power generators. Construction of the mine began in May 2022 and first coal was produced in March 2023.

Maxwell Solar Farm

The Maxwell Solar Farm is an approved 25 megawatt (MW) solar farm, which will be located on rehabilitated land within the Maxwell Infrastructure site south of Muswellbrook. The solar farm will generate more than 60 gigawatt hours annually, providing enough energy to power around 10,000 local homes.
