The spirit of giving is alive and well in the Malabar community and we are proud to have joined hands with the not-for-profit BlackRoo Community Indigenous Corporation to support the annual 2NM/PowerFM Food and Toy Christmas Appeal. This initiative, managed by the very dedicated De-anne Douglas for the past 23 years, has become a beacon of hope for families in need throughout the Singleton, Muswellbrook, Aberdeen, Scone, Murrurundi, and Merriwa areas.
Last year, the appeal touched the lives of 338 families, providing them with gifts and hampers during the festive season. The appeal also provided a Christmas lunch attended by thirty-eight people, the delivery of fifty-two takeaway meals to families in need, seventeen compassion hampers, and the distribution of gifts to aged care units in Muswellbrook and Denman.
This year Malabar has donated $2000 through our Community Sponsorship Program, along with thoughtful gift contributions from the Malabar Resources team to support the appeal. We hope our contributions can make a lasting impact on the lives of families in need, helping them to create cherished memories this Christmas.
