Edderton Solar Farm

Overview

Malabar is continually looking at ways we can reduce our emissions and our impact on the local environment. Our second renewable project is:

  • the Edderton Solar Farm, which is being developed with our partner EDF Renewables (EDF-R) and is still in the initial planning stages. 
  • located in the NSW Government’s designated Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone.

Key Benefits

  • We are continuing to work with our partner, EDF Renewables (EDF-R) to consider options to increase renewable generation and the potential for battery storage, particularly as the NSW Government has recently designated the HunterCentral Coast a Renewable Energy Zone. 
  • The partnership with EDF-R brings global and local expertise for large scale solar development to the Upper Hunter region. EDF-R has a presence in more than twenty-two countries with its renewable generation portfolio exceeding 15,000 MW from solar and wind.
