Malabar owns the Merton Vineyard located approximately 3.8km north east of Denman and approximately 24km km west of Muswellbrook along the Denman Road.The vineyard comprises high quality Chardonnay, Shiraz and Verdelho varieties.
Merton Vineyard has supplied local winemakers with produce over a number of years and proudly supports Small Forest Wines which leases the cellar door from Malabar.
Smallforest is operated by winemaker Atsuko Radcliffe, who is the first female Japanese winemaker in Australia, and the only Japanese winemaker to establish a wine brand in Australia. Atsuko has an impressive career spanning over 35 years with hands on experience in the making of sake at Urakasumi Sake Brewery in Shiogama, Miyagi, Japan.
