In times of emergency, our local Rural Fire Service volunteers are the first to respond, often working in challenging and unpredictable conditions to protect lives and property. At Malabar Resources, we recognise the critical role these dedicated volunteers play in keeping our communities safe.
While the Baerami Rural Fire Brigade has been actively responding to fires, motor vehicle accidents, chemical spills and storm damage, important work has also been taking place behind the scenes to enhance the brigade’s operational capability.
Recent infrastructure upgrades at the Baerami station have significantly improved both safety and readiness. The improvements include enhanced lighting and electrical systems throughout the facility, along with the installation of electric roller doors equipped with battery backup. These roller doors represent a substantial operational advancement. When emergency calls come through, every second matters, and reliable, quick-access entry and exit points can make a real difference in response times.
Malabar Resources was pleased to contribute $2,000 toward these essential upgrades. Modern, well-equipped facilities don’t just improve day-to-day operations; they demonstrate our community’s commitment to supporting the volunteers who serve us all.
We also acknowledge the important role of the NSW Rural Fire Service – Hunter Valley in helping coordinate and deliver these improvements. Partnerships like these ensure our rural fire brigades have the resources and infrastructure they need to continue their vital work.
Supporting our emergency services volunteers is more than a contribution—it’s an investment in community resilience and safety. We’re proud to stand alongside the men and women of Baerami Rural Fire Brigade and look forward to continuing our support of those who protect our region.
