At Malabar Resources, sustainability is more than a commitment, it’s part of how we operate every day. This World Environment Day, we’re proud to highlight our ongoing work in land rehabilitation as we continue to restore and regenerate the landscapes we operate in.
In Autumn 2025, we planted more than 4,600 native trees and shrubs onsite as part of our rehabilitation program. This diverse selection includes a rich mix of understorey species, such as Acacia, Callistemon, and Dodonaea, as well as canopy species like , and . Many of these species are not only ecologically significant but are also valued bush tucker plants with cultural and environmental importance.
Rehabilitation is about more than planting trees, it’s about restoring ecosystems, supporting biodiversity and ensuring our land remains healthy and productive for future generations. By prioritising native and locally endemic species, we’re helping build habitats and support natural resilience in our environment.
