Scone Junior Cricket Club has long been a place where kids of all ages can come together, stay active and be part of something very special. With a focus on creating a healthy, safe and fun environment, the club gives every child in the community, regardless of ability, the opportunity to enjoy the game of cricket.
As the 25/26 season approaches, the club is buzzing with energy. More than 90 junior players, aged from 6 to 18, have already registered, alongside 30 younger participants in the skills development program. It’s a clear reflection of how strongly the community values the club and the role it plays in supporting young people.
Behind the scenes, Scone Junior Cricket Club is powered entirely by volunteers, including parents, carers and community members who give their time to coach, organise and champion these young cricketers. Their commitment ensures every child has access to a supportive, family-oriented sporting experience.
To help the club continue providing quality training opportunities, Malabar proudly donated $500 toward new training equipment. This support will assist coaches in delivering safe, engaging sessions and help young players keep developing their skills with confidence. It is a small contribution that we hope makes a meaningful difference to a club that gives so much back to the Scone community.
