At Malabar Resources, we believe in supporting the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of our communities. That’s why we’re proud to lend our support to the Muswellbrook Girl Guides, a group of 10–14 inspiring young girls who embody teamwork, resilience and leadership.
Two of their patrol leaders, Lucy and Ida, have spent the past two years fundraising to attend the 2024 Jamboree Camp held in Murwillumbah from 28 September to 5 October. The Jamboree is a national event that brings together Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from across Australia for a week of adventure, learning, and connection.
Throughout the camp, participants take part in a range of on- and off-site activities designed to encourage independence, build confidence and foster personal growth. It’s a truly formative experience, one that challenges and empowers young people to step up, lead and support one another.
Lucy and Ida had an incredible time at the Jamboree, returning with new friendships, unforgettable experiences and valuable life lessons. They were also extremely grateful for the local support that helped them reach their fundraising goal and make the trip possible.
At Malabar, we’re honoured to play a small part in helping young women like Lucy and Ida explore their potential and build lifelong skills.
