Malabar Resources is honoured to have supported the Wanaruah Aboriginal Land Council and St Joseph’s Catholic College, Aberdeen, in delivering a meaningful Community Service Day for Year 10 students this month.
Held at the Senior Citizens Hall in Muswellbrook, the program encouraged students to reflect the values of Mary MacKillop through hands-on service. Students created thoughtful, hand-made gifts that will be shared with residents in local nursing homes and hospitals, as well as with those who serve our community over Christmas, including emergency services personnel.
We acknowledge and thank Deanne Douglas from the Wanaruah Local Aboriginal Land Council for her leadership in bringing this initiative to life. Malabar is proud to have provided sponsorship to help make the day possible and to support activities that strengthen cultural awareness, compassion and community connection among local young people.
